Shadan(社団, Shadan) is a Ninja Assasin, and known as one of the deadliest current Jōnin within the ranks of Kummogakure's current ninja body. A master of The Black Lightning Release, Shadan is a mysterious enigma who serves as one of the hidden cloud's, and one of the raikage's most reliable and efficient ninja's. He is somehow linked to Karui, formerly of the team Samui, though the nature of their relationship isn't yet known or fully understood.

Shadan does not hail from any specific clan and as such he does not have any particularly outstanding trait or bloodline. However, he is one of the single most deadly ninja assassin's in the current ninja world, and has mastered all forms of killing and armed combat. It is his skill in wielding weapons which served as the reason for his title "Shadan The Butcher" due to his brutal and merciless fighting style which focuses solely on inflicting as much damage to the body of the opponents and intended targets as possible. In this right, Shadan specializes solely in killing and is famed for reducing entire armies worth of enemy ninja to a sea of death in the space of minutes alone. Among the weapons he has mastered include The Katana, Naginata, Kusarigama, Shuriken, Kunai, and many more.
